July 4 Celebration

Every year at the embassy there is a big July 4th celebration.     This year it came a month early because on July 4, the coronation of the king will take place in Tonga and many of the embassy staff will be there.   The theme for the party was denim and pearls and while I wasn't quite sure how to pull off the outfit for it....the party was a ton of fun.   When the national anthem was sung, I got pretty teary.... missing home but also feeling a lot of pride to be from the good old US of A.

I got to work the cupcake table for a while (which I think I did a terrible job at because I kept socializing).   The cupcakes all looked amazing!
