Farewells....
Other than catching some crazy head cold, it's been a good week. Thanksgiving was relaxed. The girls stayed home from school and just had a lazy morning playing games with Amma. We then went to one of the embassy houses to enjoy a HUGE feast. Yummy. We ate far too much and had a nice time. That night we kept up a Thanksgiving tradition in my house...and went to see Moana in the theater. It was SO good! We all loved it. How cool to have a South Pacific princess...except she isn't even really a princess, but a warrior - which makes it even cooler. The soundtrack is amazing! The girls danced on stage until the final credits. It was fun to see in Fiji and will always remind me of our time here.

part of the meal before the aluminum foil came off...I wasn't quick enough to get any food shots before people started digging in. |

Here are the girls dancing to the credits....hard to see. |
On Friday, we went to Leluvia after the girls did their bollywood dance routine at school and a farewell song for our heads of school and the students who are leaving. Leluvia was a final weekend trip/hurrah for the Robertsons. It was perfect. The weather was phenomenal. Nem and Talei played on Saturday and it was just so good! The only less than ideal part was Zoe vomiting Friday at midnight- all over me, the bed we shared, herself, the floor, everywhere. As much as I LOVE Leluvia, it is SO not the place to have a vomiting child. No restrooms or water in your bure make vomit an issue. I'll just leave it at that. It was gross. But....it didn't ruin the weekend.
Here are the pictures. I cannot even get into how much I'll miss this family. I am in denial....
We came home to the Christmas tree! Warren set it up while we were gone and the girls got decorating right away. It's lovely! We also came home to the most delicious meal Warren prepared as a farewell dish for the Robertsons. It was delicious! The girls gave their besties their farewell gifts and all of it just seemed a little unreal. I still haven't been able to sit down and write a card to Wendy, because really.... it just makes it all too real....and what can I even say to thank her for her friendship?
Not only did we get a meal and a Christmas tree, but we also got a new family member that night! We now have Holly, the Robertson's dog. She is too old (14 years old) to travel all the way to America with them so she is now a part of our family. We promise to love her dearly! How can we not? Look how cute she is!
